My very first tutorial. Hopefully everyone can understand it. I was making a pleated school skirt for my Ryofu cosplay and decided I would take pictures of the entire process and turn it into a tutorial. I also used this same process to make the tiny skirt for my plushies. If you have any questions just ask :)

Oh and if you use my tutorial to make a skirt I would love to see pictures!

Great tutorial!!! Did you hem the bottom of the skirt before or after you began the pleats?

How thick did you make the waste band?
Reply
:iconstevoluvmunchkin:
I made the waistband 8 inches and then folded it over like you see in the 10th step. So after you fold the waistband over and sew it to the other side of the zipper the waistband ends up being 4 inches.

Ah! Thank you so much. :) When I make one I'll be sure to show you.

How much overlap did you do on the pleats?

:iconstevoluvmunchkin:
I think it was a 1 overlap. It has been a while so I don't remember exactly but I am almost positive it was a 1 inch overlap.
